At Fruit Market we’re working with local contractor Nottingham Developments Ltd to deliver the construction of Phase 2 at Fruit Market. Nottingham Developments Ltd (NDL) we’re responsible for building phase 1 of Fruit Market and you can see from the finished article they pride themselves on delivering a high quality finished product where the details matter.
Founded in 2003 Nottingham Developments Limited is a family‑run building contractor working across the East Midlands and have built a reputation through word of mouth for excellence in construction. With a wide range of experience in building both commercial and high end domestic housing NDL are an ideal fit for building Fruit Market.
It's important for us at Fruit Market to be investing in local trades people and the local economy, where delivering a quality site is a point of local pride.
What makes NDL different from many contractors is that the different trades on site are direct employees. This means that essential trades like electrical, plumbing and joinery are delivered by core NDL employees rather than subcontractors. Getting details right from the brick work at the early stages of the build through to the fitting of bathrooms, kitchens and flooring in the finished product relies on a skilled and consistent team. Having their trades as direct employees ensures this happens, it's also good for keeping the project on time and within budget.
We were delighted with the finished result of Phase 1 and are looking forward to working with NDL over the next year.
