Meet the Locals: Vietcentric Cookery School

British-Vietnamese Kimi Leu is the founder of  Vietcentric, Nottingham’s only authentic Vietnamese cooking-and-learning experience located in Sneinton Market Avenues.

Vietcentric  started when Kimi, as a refugee child from Vietnam, moved thousands of miles with her mother to make a new home in Nottingham in the late 1970s. Inspired by her mother and the importance of family, tradition and home, Vietcentric was born.

Vietcentric is a cookery school and cultural centre that teaches the authentic traditions of Vietnamese culture to people of all abilities.  One of the secrets to making traditional Vietnamese dishes delicious is using excellent natural ingredients. Alongside their introductory courses to Vietnamese cookery and culture they also source and sell their own range of completely natural fresh spices working directly with trusted farmers and suppliers.

Their website is also a great source of authentic recipes and detailed information about authentic Vietnamese ingredients too. Their good work promoting Vietnamese culture in Nottingham has also not gone unnoticed having hosted the Vietnamese Ambassador on an official visit to Nottingham! Why not get yourself booked in and expand your cookery skills Vietnamese style?
