Fruit Market residents offer their thoughts on why they are moving to Nottingham's most forward thinking development.
What is your name? Wendy Russell
What do you do? I’m a university lecturer in children’s play.
How did you get involved in Fruit Market? I saw an article about it in the Post (online) and decided to apply.
What kind of house do you live in now? An Victorian semi.
What kind of house do you hope to have at the end of the project? Ideally passive housing, but if not, something very close.
What aspects of the project most attracted you? The idea of being part of a group with an interest in co-housing. Being involved in something from the start. Environmentally friendly housing, and some aspects of community.
Fruit Market presents an opportunity share spaces with your neighbours, what aspect of this are you most excited about? I like the idea of shared space – gardens, places to commune. Maybe a shared launderette.
