What is your name? James and Helen Thornhill.
What do you do? On the way to being fully retired but still help out with my son’s engineering recruitment business.
How did you get involved in Fruit Market? Always interested in having a self-build home and came across Matthew Letts in their Urban Hot House group on Facebook and that led to the Fruit Market project.
What kind of house do you live in now? Newish five bedroomed detached in Nottingham.
What kind of house do you hope to have at the end of the project? 3 bedroomed Passive House standard open plan with lots of light.
What aspects of the project most attracted you? Designing your own home within a friendly community of neighbours.
Fruit Market presents an opportunity to share spaces with your neighbours, what aspect of this are you most excited about? Not sure yet but more space for alfresco dining with friends or neighbours would be one.
What attracts you to living in the Sneinton Market area? It should develop into an attractive area and is a short walk from theatres and restaurants we visit.
